Meet our counselors

Cat Schully, LPC-S, Registered Play Therapist

Pronouns: she/her

As a new resident of St. Tammany Parish, I am so excited about all of the beauty that surrounds us! This is why I now offer Walk-and-Talk therapy to Northshore residents. Walk-and-talk therapy offers a unique and holistic approach to mental health treatment that combines the benefits of traditional therapy with physical activity in a natural setting. The act of walking stimulates the release of endorphins, enhancing mood and reducing stress and anxiety. Additionally, being outdoors in nature can promote a sense of calm and well-being, further facilitating the therapeutic process.
With seven years of experience as a therapist, this innovative service combines the benefits of traditional counseling with the healing power of nature and physical activity. Walk-and-talk therapy provides a unique opportunity for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and concerns while taking a leisurely walk in a serene outdoor environment.

This approach not only promotes mental and emotional well-being but also fosters a sense of connection and openness. I am passionate about helping individuals on their journey to improved mental health, and I believe that Walk and Talk Therapy can be a transformative and refreshing way to achieve those goals.

$135-$165 for individual counseling in office

Eric Brown, MS, PLPC, NCC

Pronouns: He/Him

Hi, I’m Eric.

I believe the foundation of helpful therapy is a trusting and supportive relationship. I provide a safe and compassionate space where clients are encouraged to gain self-awareness while honoring the strengths and values each person brings with them. A process of exploration into your own experience – of thought, emotion, sensation, and behavior – can empower an increased ability to make conscious, creative choices toward personally meaningful change for a more fulfilling life. Gradually, this process can transform the way you relate to yourself, others, and the world.

Working from a perspective that is Humanistic and Mindfulness informed, I help people build a connection with the inner guidance that is our natural source of healing and growth to treat a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions, identity development, and spiritual exploration.
It can take a lot to reach out for help, to confront the challenges or questions we face. The process of finding a good fit with a therapist can add to that challenge and I want to recognize the strength it takes to have made it to this point. I invite you to reach out to talk about how we can work together to support you on your therapeutic journey.

Counseling can be a challenging and uncomfortable process. It can be even more difficult to find a therapist who is a good fit for you. As your counselor, I promise I will strive to earn your trust and respect throughout our time together.

I approach counseling from person-centered and solution-focused perspectives meaning that I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your current concerns and promote healing. As a counselor, my goal is to create an empathic and collaborative environment where you can be your authentic self as you work toward your goals. I view my clients as the experts of their own lives, and I believe my role is to assist you in reaching your goals. Together we can explore and reflect on past life experiences as well as identify the skills, strengths, and values you possess to overcome new challenges and live authentically.

I work with adults and couples of all identities and backgrounds. Additionally, I have a special interest in serving LGBTQIA+ clients in both individual and couple/dyadic settings. I have experience helping clients work through a variety of concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and interpersonal concerns, ADHD/executive functioning, identity, life transitions, career concerns, and LGBTQIA+ issues.

Additionally, as a queer person myself, I have a personal understanding of LGBTQIA+ challenges. My counseling practice is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals. My approach is gender-affirming for trans and GNC clients. I am also sex-positive, sex-work positive, and poly-friendly.

If you think we could be a potential match, I encourage you to set up a free consultation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
